The creative industry has a long tradition on the southern bank of the Spree. As early as 1919, Carl Lindström AG moved to Schlesische Straße 26/27, where a recording concert hall and various studios were established. In addition, there was a pressing plant, a print shop, and an equipment factory. Of course, office and storage spaces were also available. At its peak, Europe’s largest music factory produced 150,000 shellac records and over 1,000 playback devices. It is therefore fair to say that the big bang of the Berlin music industry originated from the Schellack-Höfe. To this day, the innovative power and entrepreneurial spirit of this special location remain unchanged.
